After a stop-and-go development process that saw involvement from several publishers and developers, Atari finally picked up the ball to release Ghostbusters: The Video Game. The script, penned by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, follows an unnamed new recruit as he joins the Ghostbusters. Gamers take control of this fifth Ghostbuster alongside Peter, Ray, Egon and Winston (voiced by the original cast) to bust ghosts like Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and new main baddie ,Ivo Shandor, in third-person action. The Film

Ghostbusters was the epitome of the action-comedy (and horror) of its time, and holds up against the best in modern cinema. Its dialogue makes subtle riffs on the ridiculous situations in the film, and the performances of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis in their prime make it one of the classics of a generation.
