After a stop-and-go development process that saw involvement from several publishers and developers, Atari finally picked up the ball to release Ghostbusters: The Video Game. The script, penned by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, follows an unnamed new recruit as he joins the Ghostbusters. Gamers take control of this fifth Ghostbuster alongside Peter, Ray, Egon and Winston (voiced by the original cast) to bust ghosts like Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and new main baddie ,Ivo Shandor, in third-person action. The script is funny at times, but many lines sound forced and unnatural. (more…)
