A Nintendo launch without a Mario game just doesn’t feel right. That may be the reason why the Nintendo 3DS stalled out of the gate. That empty space has now been filled, as Nintendo gives us Super Mario 3D Land. With a few new tricks up his sleeve and his signature hat, Mario’s ready to save the Princess again. The Film

It may seem cliche, but there’s truly something magical about Disney films. While still maintaining their innocence, the “pomp and circumstance” presentation that always goes along with them gets the point across that something truly wonderful is about to appear on the screen.  Bambi, Disney’s fourth feature film, finally gets the Blu-ray treatment close to seventy years after its initial release. With plenty of extras, a digital remastering and restoration, this offering is sure to seem attractive to any collector. (more…)

Job loss and homelessness are serious business and are often no laughing mater. Comedy is the flipside of tragedy, however, and this is what makes Erich Origen and Gan Golan’s story so thought provoking, heartwrenching and fantastically hilarious. Using superheroes and villains as thinly veiled metaphors for social classes, abstract concepts and political/economical/social ideologies, The Adventures of Unemployed Man shows us how the crumbling economy affects real people every day.
