Chris Hemsworth Thor Q&A (C2E2)

On Saturday, March 19, C2E2 brought out some of its biggest stars in the IGN Theater at McCormick Place. Among those stars was the up-and-coming Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, star of the soon-to-be-released live-action Thor movie. The Feature

For those unfamiliar with the Emmy Award-winning Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, it was a project Joss Whedon put together in 2008 strictly for Internet release during the Writers Guild of America writers’ strike. It originally hit as a free release, and later as a paid download in other digital formats, such as iTunes, released in three roughly 15-minute acts. (more…)

From Comic-Con Part 8 – Dark Horse and Gerard Way

Dark Horse set out to mix things up at its panel this year. Instead of sitting at the table, running through stories and taking questions from fans, Dark Horse founder Michael Richardson stood throughout the meeting and ushered in a slew of guests to help with a long line of announcements from the company.

The first of those announcements was a new logo for Dark Horse’s 25 anniversary, which the publisher is approaching next year. The publisher also announced a partnership with Challenge Online Games to incorporate Dark Horse characters into baseballboss.com, a free-to-play online virtual baseball card game. Nineteen of Dark Horse’s published characters now appear on cards. Players can take on the Dark Horse team to earn cards.

Umbrella Academy writer Gerard Way then hit the stage along with editor Scott Allie to talk about the next arc of Umbrella Academy, dubbed “Hotel Oblivion.” Way said the Umbrella Academy will have a new logo once again, and fans can expect to see the least amount of the Academy ever, as he is planning to explore more of the villains this time around in a setting compared to Arkham Asylum.
